Vourvourou
Vourvourou beaches are really incomparable. Characterized by fine white sand, and crystal clear turquoise waters, any beach on the peninsula will be a magical experience. There is something here for everybody. If you want seclusion, the months of June and September bring few tourists, so most beaches in Sithonia are empty. Even in the busier months you can still find an isolated cove. The best places for swimming and recreation is the beginning and end of the beach. At the beginning of the beach there is an isolated and quiet Bay Livari with crystal water. At the end of the beach you can see some landscapes surrounded by pine trees, Karidi is the place where you can hide in a shadow from the sun. White sand and a smooth entry into the sea is absolutely ideal for children. This is the most popular place among tourists.
Armenistis
Armenistis is a fantastic beach in the East part of the peninsula. It becames famous for the camping site, located on the coast. This place was awarded by the "Blue flag" for cleanliness and the quality of the water and shore which are checking twice a month. Variety of festivals, concerts and beach parties are organized here every summer. By the way, if you are not too lazy to come here early in the morning, you can enjoy indescribably beautiful Sunrise against a backdrop of picturesque mountains and rocks of the peninsula. The beach is sandy, although in some places the sand is interrupted by large stones and boulders, leaving straight into the sea. You can simply sunbathe on the large stone, washed by the sea, make a couple of beautiful pictures. Each year in and around Armenistis is widely acclaimed festival "sea wave", and in addition to the nightly film screenings under the stars (separate movies for children and adults), athletic training and competitions, and lots of other entertainment.
Sikia
Sandy beach of Sikia-one of the cleanest in Sithonia. The beach is just 1 km and a width of 30 meters. Sikia-fully equipped beach area, in a short distance from the village. Sikia is a perfect place for a holiday with young children. This beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Halkidiki. Sikia is famous for its tiny coves and picturesque views of Mount Athos and the monasteries. On the beach there are several campgrounds.
Ormos Panagias
Ormos Panagias is an important port for Sithonia, Halkidiki. Considered as being a part of Agios Nikolaos, the port of Ormos Panagias is located just a few kilometres to the south. The amount of accommodation and restaurants that have collected around this harbour has made it grow into somewhat of its own village built around an existing old church. Even though it’s not officially recognized as a village, Ormos Panagias is considered a Halkidiki resort in its own right that attracts many people. Many small hotels and apartments along with restaurants and cafes have been built from the dock up to the main square by the church and then down along the main beach of Ormos Panagias. Because of the fishermen that use this harbour, it’s a good place to find the day’s catch of fresh fish, calamari and octopus. The local restaurants pride themselves on their fresh seafood and offer a splendid view of the bay and the natural harbour as you can even dine on the beach. The locals are known for making a mean Tsipouro, the local strong ouzo that is traditionally made with old methods from mid-October to mid-November.
